"Comfort With Some Improvable Faults"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5
Reviewed May 27, 2025 NEW
Comfort With Some Improvable Faults 1. No water pressure in shower, possibly due to the tiny and clogged shower heads, like all of the rooms here. But bathtub faucet has good water pressure (turning the shower on should not decrease/should spew out that same pressure). 2. There are no outlets next to nor near the bed. I have to step over my extension cord that's plugged into office desk wall across the isle of the bed (the isle that leads to the exit door! I could trip over, and almost have already. 3. The mini fridges here don't have the freezer as the top part, like other motels and hotels do. 4. They advertise on all travel websites including their website , that coffee makers are on the rooms. However, they're not. If you happen to inform them that yours is missing, they bring you one without informing you that they're by request only. Security deposits (which I'm very rarely ever asked for at any hotel nor motel, and I travel often) should not be required if the advertised amenities are missing. 5. You're left in the black dark in the shower because they turn off the bathroom light after a certain time, instead of it simply being a light switch guests flip up and down like the sink light!!! 6. called Mariana in advance of my arrival and confirmed with her that despite you/Expedia only showing a wheelchair accessible room available on Monday, that the motel will keep me in the same room I'm checking into on Wednesday/yesterday (standard king with bathtub) DO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO SWITCH ROOMS. She said yes. However, upon my arrival she revealed that she lied to me; that there are no standard king rooms available in Monday (for my one day extension) and that I'll have to switch rooms. 7. So she gave me a free upgrade to s 2 queen beds room. But failed to inform me that it has no microwave! That no 2 queen beds rooms have one. Yet they consider that an UPGRADE and charge more for those rooms while preventing guests from eating!!! Every room should have fridge and microwave. Period. 8. I found out upon entering the room. I therefore requested that they bring me a microwave. They refused! And moreover, she had the audacity to disrespect name by telling me to get dressed, fix my hair, deal with elevator and humans looking at me and shared her s and viruses every time I need to use microwave; by traveling to lobby to use the one she says is there. Wow . Obviously, I politely told her about herself for such an irrational insult. 9. At check in, she said that I was obviously being charged one $50 security deposit, since I'm not leaving/since I'm staying until 5/11/25 without checking out. However, hours later I noticed that she stoled $50 off of my debit card by charging TWO separate security deposits. 10. I called her and asked why. Her answer made no since. Then she contradicted herself by saying that guests who simply extend their stay by adding night(s) are not charged AGAIN (not charged another security deposit since they've already been charged one at check in. Yet when I asked her again, to clarify and told her that that is MY scenario as well; she said they ARE charged another one! 11. And furthermore, I told her..... What if I didn't have another $50 on the card?!? And that I needed that money for something!?! - Would she have waived charging two behind my back. Her answer was unclear. 12. She suddenly informed me at check in that they send a maid to room to so called 'clean' after every 3 nights!!! Wtf! I do NOT want to be disturbed, bothered, intruded upon with such invasiveness!!! I told her to tell all staff and all maids to not disturb/not come to my room at all. Hopefully they comply. 13. If a motel doesn't trust guests with the rooms, they should not charge a security deposit. The security deposit is to LEAVE GUESTS ALONE during their entire stay unless they request any cleaning or linens or towels replacement. Otherwise they are supposed to honor the DO NOT DISTURB decal in door know. And regarding any trash; guests can discard of themselves or by sitting bag(s) outside of door for staff to retrieve. 14. Sabrina brought an unusable coffee maker to the room with huge long crack in the glass of the pot, after telling me that she was going to bring a working one yet having me wait over thirty minutes, having to call again and she says she blew it off to do other things. 15. Regarding my FIRST stay I had at this motel.........On a phone call I should not have had to make (because Mariana told me she was sending someone to fix the loud air conditioner next door but never did), I called because no one came yet, while I'm talking to her she hands the phone to a co-worker. Wow. Now suddenly on the phone is a Liliana, who was rude and has no listening skills; reveals that Mariana lied to me - that she never mentioned it to ANYone. Rudely said with an attitude that they can't fix nor check a loud motor air conditioner unless the guest in that room complains about it, says he's not leaving until a few days from now, told me I can go to another room as if it's that simple. I told her I already unpacked after spending 15-20 minutes using my Lysol and disinfectant wipes, that it's not convenient for people to up and switch around. Switching topics; she's telling me that they're short on linens, as to why they didn't provide my towels and flat sheets - AFTER I told her they already brought everything to me. She rudely tried to go back and forth repeating herself with irrational baseless excuses regarding their air conditioner problems; instead of taking my simple clear kind suggestion that they consider making a list of the rooms she says with loud air conditioners, after she revealed that allot of rooms have loud one's and that they ordered more several months ago, which [oddly] have not arrived yet. Instead of thanking me and apologizing to me and ensuring me that the matter will be properly addressed; she went on and on, and then accused me of lying about the loudness and vibrations of his air conditioner, until I informed her that me and Mariana did a test at the door - by me closing my door (since I had not closed it since check in, to let room air out) to see if it's still loud and vibrating, and because it does I told Mariana that it will wake me up, and Mariana therefore told me she'll send someone to fix it right away. To finally save my valuable time and peace; I found a way to get off of the phone with her since she's showing she rather waste her guests time and energy with her glass half empty attitude and unprofessionalism (on a call that should not have been more than 1 to 2 minutes) - I informed her that I'm an introvert, and that I have allot to do before getting to sleep. About ten minutes later the guy steps out of his room and examines his air conditioner problem himself, then he's telling someone on his cellphone that it's quiet/that loud engine noise stops when he puts pressure on it from outside, and that therefore it needs to be re-secired to the wall. A maintenance guy goes and re-bolts it to the wall more securely. That's all Liliana could and should have said to me (that she'll call my neighbor and then send someone to try to resolve the issue); instead of her being disrespectful, negative, combative and unprofessional towards me. 16. Other than all of the above; I will be returning to this motel, giving them a chance to improve and to improve things. Including in that when I was checking out at 11am during my first stay, I witnessed a check in desk employee hassling a man for $40 to check in before 3pm despite there being available rooms. No motel nor hotel should ever request nor expect guests to pay money to check in 'early'; if the room is clean and ready and a guest arrives at whatever time of morning or afternoon, they should always welcome the guest to check in, especially if they've pre-paid. People are tired, have things to do, traveled in with luggage and/or long trip, or whatever the case may be. 17. Nevertheless; overall, I enjoy the cozy feel of the rooms at this motel when avoiding turning on the lights (since they're bright white instead of cozy yellow/soft), and that the floor is carpet instead of wood floors. I also like that the windows have shade pull-downs in front of the black-out pull-downs (that keep people walking by, from seeing inside of the rooms) when you have that pull-down, up, for sunlight. ### [Date Review submitted first as an email to the motel: Thursday 5/8/25. Manager did not reply.]

"Fraudulent Damage Claim"

I’ve stayed at this Days Inn multiple times for the night when in the area and its late so my the condition of the hotel was not a major concern (run down, non working elevation, etc). On my last two stays, two female reps acted suspiciously, asking odd questions and showing a change in attitude. I ignored my thoughts but did record the room as I left the room when checking out. After I checked out without incident, later on in the day I received a voicemail from a male accusing me of breaking a window—something I absolutely did not do. He claimed housekeeping had a photo but said no manager was available. I followed up via email for proof—no response. I contacted corporate guest services and still received no follow-up. I also sent a copy of the video as proof via email to no response!!! Yet they KEPT my incidental deposit. After researching, I learned this is not an isolated incident. Travelers: BE AWARE!!!
